With 250 employers on hand, the Career Fair gives you the perfect opportunity to discover the internship or post-graduate job that's right for you.

  • Practice networking with professionals and future engineers from all around the world
  • Learn about graduate school options and faculty opportunities
  • Educate yourself at development sessions, workshops and panel discussions
  • Connect friends new and old, learn from mentors and meet role models

 

Be sure to upload your résumé to the SWE Career Center before the Career Fair. Then, check the WE14 box in your profile so employers at the career fair know that you are attending. Companies will often complete pre-screenings and set up interviews during the Career Fair.

  • Print hard copies of your résumé to bring with. You should also have a flash drive on hand that contains an electronic version (saved as both a PDF and Word file)
  • Be prepared to complete online applications during the conference
  • Wear professional attire and be prepared to interview on-site
  • Research the exhibitors attending the Career Fair and choose your favorites
  • Plan a pitch—concisely explain why you are the ideal candidate in three sentences or less
  • Attend the Career Fair Opening Reception to get a head start on networking with the organizations you're interested in
  • Check out the SWE webinars available for free to all members and brush up on relevant skills.

Since forming in 1950, SWE has become a global organization uniting women around the world.
